Frankelin Franco-Colome Charged In Jorge Morales’ Murder

A Harrisburg man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man whose body was found inside a vehicle at Paxtang Cemetery, authorities announced on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

Frankelin Franco-Colome was taken into custody earlier in the morning and charged with one count of criminal homicide, according to Swatara Township police. He was arraigned and is being held in Dauphin County Prison without bail.

The victim, 61-year-old Jorge Morales of Harrisburg, was attacked on Jan. 27 around 10 p.m. at 2771 Paxton Street, where officers later found blood in the parking lot, investigators said. Surveillance footage showed the suspect and Morales arriving in Morales’ vehicle before the suspect stabbed him during an altercation, police said. The video also captured both men leaving in the same car.

The next morning, Morales’ body was discovered inside the vehicle at Paxtang Cemetery. An autopsy later confirmed his death was a homicide.

The Swatara Township Police Criminal Investigation Division led the probe with assistance from the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office and the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office.
